Representatives of Ukraine and Norway have discussed promising areas of cooperation in gas production, emerging technologies, and ESG initiatives.

The announcement was made by Naftogaz Group CEO Serhii Koretskyi.

"Together with members of the Ukrainian parliament, we met with a Norwegian parliamentary delegation led by Mani Hussaini, Chair of the Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment," Koretskyi said.

According to him, Norway remains one of Naftogaz Group’s key partners, providing grant funding for gas purchases and supporting the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian representatives briefed the delegation on the consequences of Russia’s large-scale attacks on Naftogaz facilities, emphasizing that the intensity of these strikes continues to increase.

The parties also discussed further cooperation with Norwegian companies and institutions. The talks covered both ongoing projects in power generation and infrastructure modernization, as well as prospective areas of partnership in gas production, advanced technologies, and the development of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.

"It is important for us that Norway’s support goes far beyond financial assistance. This is a partnership based on trust, a shared vision of energy security, and a willingness to work on long-term solutions," Koretskyi stressed.

He also thanked the Norwegian parliament, government, and people for their consistent support of Ukraine.
