Ukrainian rock band "Okean Elzy" will release an album of songs in English for the first time.
"This is a special time for my country. Recently, Ukraine won an Oscar for the Best Documentary, and we need to ensure that the voice of Ukraine continues to resonate strongly and inspiringly," says the frontman of the band, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.
"We will work to ensure that the musical voice of Ukraine is heard loudly, noticed, and recognized worldwide," notes "Okean Elzy."
The Ukrainian album is planned to be released by the band's 30th anniversary, which will be celebrated in October.
The band "Okean Elzy" has a single entirely in English titled "Long Time Ago," which was released in 1998. It first appeared on the album "There, Where We Are Not," and later included in the compilation "1221."
