Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, met with a bipartisan delegation of the Senate of the U.S. Congress comprising Joe Manchin, Lisa Murkowski and Mark Kelly.
The conversation focused on ensuring effective defence logistics and support from American partners for reconstruction projects.
"US support remains one of the cornerstones of Ukraine's defence capability. The task of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development is to ensure fast and reliable logistics for this support. For its part, the U.S. Congress will help ensure that the assistance is provided as quickly and as much as possible.Â
Cooperation with the U.S. in reconstruction projects is equally important. Having successful joint projects, we want to move to more systematic work. This will be facilitated, in particular, by the development of a unified digital ecosystem for managing the DREAM recovery, with transparent procedures and full access to data. Financial organisations and private investors will be able to control every cent spent on rebuilding Ukraine," said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.Â
He added that the DREAM digital ecosystem would allow controlling every stage of the life cycle of a recovery project - from registering damage and destruction to raising funds, procurement and construction works. This approach makes it possible to assess progress on projects and make effective decisions on attracting investment, developing individual industries, communities and territories.
