Reserve Major of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksiy Hetman, believes that the war in Israel will not weaken Western military assistance to Ukraine but may, in fact, strengthen it.

He expressed this opinion during a broadcast on the Espreso TV channel.

"It's unlikely that the conflict in Israel, aside from its informational component, will have any impact on the course of military operations in Ukraine. Assistance to us hasn't stopped. Moreover, what has already been provided will last at least until the end of this year. Indeed, the world is currently more actively reacting to the war in Israel than to our war. However, this changes nothing. Our partners continue to talk about providing military assistance to Ukraine. President Joe Biden, in addition to offering $100 billion in aid, suggests voting in Congress for the allocation of aid to both us and Israel," explained Hetman.

The reserve Major of the National Guard of Ukraine believes that military assistance to Ukraine will not decrease.

"The war that started in Israel might, on the contrary, not halt but enhance military aid to Ukraine. The proposal for a single vote on military aid confirms this. So, in my opinion, assistance to Ukraine will only strengthen," he added.

On October 10, The Washington Post and NBC News reported that discussions are taking place in the White House regarding the possibility of combining military aid to Ukraine and Israel into a single package. This approach is believed to make it easier and faster to process both decisions.
