Russian forces are conducting more than 200 artillery strikes daily on the Kramatorsk direction in an effort to destroy Ukrainian shelters and defensive positions.

This was reported during a television broadcast by Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Group.

"The Kramatorsk axis is currently not as active as, for example, the Toretsk direction in our operational zone. Nevertheless, I’ve been saying for months that the number of artillery strikes is consistently high — today it reaches 200 or more per day. The enemy is actively destroying all remaining shelters and structures on this axis to eliminate any Ukrainian positions and deny the possibility of restoring them. There is extremely high artillery activity here," he emphasized.

According to Zaporozhets, these massive barrages are intended to prevent Ukrainian defenders from conducting relocations or logistical operations.

"Overall, the enemy is trying to weaken our defenses on this axis as much as possible. But they are not succeeding across the board. In general, Chasiv Yar is still holding," he concluded.
