Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 3,075 companies have been established in Ukraine by foreigners. In total, citizens from 101 countries have opened businesses in Ukraine despite the ongoing conflict, reports OpenDataBot.
Turkish citizens lead in business registrations, with 396 companies, or 12.9% of the total. They are followed by citizens of Uzbekistan, who own 312 businesses (10.1% of the total). Polish citizens round out the top three with 224 businesses, or 7.3%. The top 10 also includes citizens from the USA, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan, Israel, the UK, and China. Note that a single company may have more than one owner.
Nearly half of all foreign-owned companies are registered in Kyiv, totaling 1,517. In the capital, Uzbek citizens are the most frequent business founders, with 175 companies.
Lviv region follows with 460 businesses, where Polish citizens are the most common founders, with 105 companies. Odessa region is also notable with 273 companies, mostly established by Turkish citizens, totaling 99 businesses.
The largest number of foreign-owned companies are involved in wholesale trade (30.7%), real estate operations (6.7%), and computer programming (5.8%).
The largest foreign-owned business established since the onset of the full-scale war is 'TENS1MA,' with a charter capital of 1.28 billion UAH, owned by an Armenian citizen.
In second place is 'Closed Non-Diversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund 'Yugen'' with a charter capital of 700 million UAH, owned by an American citizen.
Rounding out the top three is 'LFS LLC,' founded by a Polish citizen, with a charter capital of 300 million UAH.
