Russia has launched a propaganda campaign in Europe called “Russia Is Not My Enemy,” which has now reached Romania, reports Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Stickers with this message are appearing in cities as part of the Kremlin’s hybrid campaign aimed at creating the illusion of “peaceful partnership.” Through such influence tactics, Russia seeks to present itself as a peacemaker, downplay its own crimes, and sow division within European societies.

Similar actions have already been recorded in France and Italy, particularly through pro-Russian organizations.

The goal of the campaign is to undermine citizens’ trust in the rule of law and democratic institutions in their countries, cast doubt on the correctness of the Euro-Atlantic path, and discredit support for Ukraine.

"European support for Ukraine is not just assistance to a single country — it is the defense of the entire continent against aggression. Therefore, a united response to propaganda is crucial," wrote  Center for Countering Disinformation.
