Ethiopia has received the Russian-made 1RL257 "Krasukha-4" electronic warfare system.

The equipment for electronic warfare was demonstrated in Ethiopia as part of the celebration of the 116th anniversary of the establishment of the National Defense Forces.

A military parade took place in Meskel Square in Addis Ababa, and it was attended by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, government officials, and military officers.

The main highlight of this year's military parade was the demonstration of the Russian-made 1RL257 "Krasukha-4" electronic warfare system.

The 1RL257 "Krasukha-4" electronic warfare system was developed by the Russian research institute "Gradient" based in Rostov-on-Don.

The serial production of electronic warfare systems is carried out by the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant.

In 2021, during a military-technical cooperation forum in Addis Ababa, Russia and Ethiopia signed an agreement on military cooperation. As part of this agreement, Russia supplied the National Defense Forces of Ethiopia with various new military equipment models.

Ethiopia has received assistance with its rearmament efforts from various countries, including the United States and China.

In January of this year, the Ethiopian National Defense Forces were equipped with 155mm artillery installations SH15. In 2019, the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia reported the transfer of a military transport aircraft, the C-130 Hercules, to the country.
