Russian attacks target cities across Ukraine

On the night of September 3, Russian forces carried out a series of drone, missile, and artillery strikes across Ukraine, targeting cities and infrastructure in multiple regions.

In Lviv, 15 combat drones were launched at the city, according to Mayor Andriy Sadovyi. A warehouse was partially destroyed, but no casualties were reported. Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi thanked air defense forces for their effective response, and district authorities are inspecting the city for further damage.

The Khmelnytskyi region also came under attack, with strikes occurring both at night and in the morning. Air defense forces intercepted several targets, but damage was reported to residential buildings, a school, communal infrastructure, private garages, and vehicles. Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn said over 50 school windows and more than 100 residential windows were broken, forcing remote learning for students. No injuries were reported.

In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 14 others wounded over the past 24 hours. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional administration, reported that drone and artillery attacks hit numerous settlements, damaging two apartment buildings, five private homes, and a vehicle.

Lutsk suffered damage from Russian drone attacks, including fires in two garages and one outbuilding, as well as the destruction of a private cargo vehicle. No casualties were reported, according to Mayor Ihor Polishchuk.

Dnipropetrovsk region also faced artillery and drone strikes. Fires broke out in Samarivskyi district, and Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka community sustained damage to a five-story building and other structures. Air defenses intercepted 12 drones, and no injuries were reported.

Rivne region experienced a massive overnight air assault. Head of the regional administration, Oleksandr Koval, reported that air defense forces neutralized many enemy targets, and preliminary reports indicate no casualties or damage to people or infrastructure.

In Chernihiv region, a Russian drone strike on Nizhyn damaged critical infrastructure, leaving more than 30,000 households without electricity and water. Authorities are working to restore services, according to the city council and regional administration head Vyacheslav Chaus.

Donetsk region saw 14 residents injured on September 2, including 10 in Druzhkivka, three in Kostiantynivka, and one in Sloviansk. Vadym Filashkin, head of the regional administration, noted that the total casualties from Russian aggression in the region now stand at 3,443 killed and 7,951 injured, excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Ivano-Frankivsk region suffered a combined air attack targeting an infrastructure facility, causing a fire but no casualties, authorities reported.

In Kirovohrad region, a drone strike on Znamianka injured five people and damaged 28 houses, destroying one. Fires also broke out at infrastructure facilities, and authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage.
