SSU drones carried out successful strikes on naval support vessels located at the “Zaliv” shipbuilding plant in temporarily occupied Kerch. Air defense systems of Russian forces in the area of the Kerch Strait were also hit.

During the special operation, SSU drones struck cable ships of Project 15310 “Volga” and “Vyatka,” as well as the cargo-passenger ferry “Petropavlovsk,” which was 96% complete. As a result of the strikes, large-scale fires broke out on the vessels.

The “Volga” and “Vyatka” were being built for the Russian Ministry of Defense. Their purpose is to deploy the “Garmoniy” underwater acoustic surveillance system for submarine military reconnaissance. In addition, they can lay non-contact mines to target ships, underwater pipelines, cables, and other critical infrastructure objects. Each of these vessels is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

In addition, SSU drones struck weapons and a radar station belonging to an S-400 surface-to-air missile system that was covering the Kerch Strait area.

The systematic work of the SSU in targeting Russian military infrastructure in occupied Crimea is depriving Russian forces of the ability to use the peninsula as a logistical and military hub. The destruction of air defense systems opens the way for new precision strikes, while disabling ships and port infrastructure undermines the Russian forces’ ability to supply their units.
