The Russian army targeted the Pivdennyi Bridge across the Dnieper River in Kyiv during a ballistic missile attack on the city on the night of 27 October.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the bridge had been damaged in the Russian attack.
Following the damage, police and city authorities temporarily restricted vehicle traffic across the bridge in both directions.
Specialists are working at the site to assess the consequences of the strike.
In addition to the bridge itself, the Russian attack also damaged metro infrastructure.
This was not the first Russian attack on Kyiv's Pivdennyi Bridge. On 1 October, two Russian drones struck near the bridge's supporting structures, prompting authorities to suspend traffic while the structure was inspected.
