In the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces are attempting to push Ukraine’s Defense Forces away from the Antonivsky bridges and are seeking to seize control of the islands of Zabych, Nestryha, and Kozulysky in the southern island zone.

This was reported on television by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.

"At several points, the enemy has concentrated assault groups for crossing operations. These are typically small infantry units using one or a few boats, attempting to dislodge our defenders from the Antonivsky bridges. They are also trying to take control of several islands in the southern island zone, namely Zabych, Nestryha, and Kozulysky," said Voloshyn.

He emphasized that the occupiers aim to establish a foothold to eventually land troops on the right bank of the Dnipro River. However, all such attempts have been unsuccessful.

According to Voloshyn, the forces and resources the Russian forces has amassed are sufficient for such operations but not for a large-scale, strategic crossing of the Dnipro.

"Nonetheless, the enemy will continue to act there and maintain high activity thanks to the concentration of troops, allowing them to conduct such assaults daily," the spokesperson added.

He also noted that over the past day, Russian forces did not carry out assault or crossing operations in the Prydniprovske direction, but they actively used drones, artillery, and conducted airstrikes.
