Last night, on November 18, Russians attacked a dormitory in Hlukhiv, Sumy region, using Shahed-type drones. The attack claimed the lives of 10 people and left more than a dozen injured.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
As of 7 a.m., preliminary information indicates:
- Six people, including one child, were killed;
- Twelve people, including two children, were injured.
"Rescue operations are ongoing. Residents may still be trapped under the rubble. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified," the Sumy Regional Military Administration added.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, the shelling resulted in:
- Seven civilian deaths, including an 8-year-old boy;
- Injuries to 12 people, including two children aged 10 and 11;
- Damage to two apartment buildings and a hospital.
As of 9:17 a.m., the State Emergency Service reported 10 deaths and 11 injuries.
"The dormitory building has been partially destroyed, with five people potentially trapped under the rubble," the SES stated.
The Office of the Prosecutor General added that the bodies of the last two victims were recovered from the debris.
