On the morning of June 18, Russian forces destroyed the Siversk City Council building in an airstrike. The building had served as a local humanitarian aid distribution center. No casualties were reported.
This was confirmed in a comment to Vilne Radio by the head of the Siversk Municipal Military Administration, Oleksii Vorobiov.
According to him, Russian troops struck the city council building with an aerial bomb early on June 18. At the time of the attack, the building was empty, so there were no casualties.
“About 90% of the building was destroyed — they used glide bombs (GABs), the structure collapsed. No one was injured; the guard managed to take shelter in a safe place,” said Vorobiov.
In recent years, the city council building had functioned as a humanitarian aid distribution point for Siversk residents. Due to the Russian strike, the location will be changed, but authorities will not publicly disclose the new address for security reasons.
A new Point of Invincibility is expected to open next week, likely on June 23.
