Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral accompanied by jazz musicians will perform a big concert in Odessa. The concert will take place in the open air on June 20 at the Green Theater.
He charmed the whole world with his sincere singing on the stage of Eurovision-2017 in Kyiv. Millions of viewers around the world fell in love with his music and poignant life story. For his performance at the song contest, Salvador collected a record number of points for the show and won for Portugal.
The jazz artist, who professes values ââthat are clear to everyone, returns to Ukraine with the presentation of a new album. You have an incredible opportunity to hear the victorious Amar Pelos Dois and the songs from the new album.
The album was written last year during lockdown, along with his producer, Leo Aldrey, at a house in Southern Portugal and over Skype, and then recorded in January 2021 in the French Basque Country.
Salvador Sobral studied Psychology, but his overwhelming passion for music took over and he has proved to be one of the great promises in the Portuguese and Spanish music scene. While he lived in the United States and in Barcelona, where he studied at the prestigious school Taller de Musics, he carried out several musical projects: he composed for himself but at the same time he created audacious performances inspired by Chet Baker, took in bossa-nova and lent his songs the sweet sonorities of Latin America.
Sobral was dubbed as a national hero in Portugal after winning the Eurovision contest in 2017 with a song composed by his sister LuÃsa Sobral. Just seven months after winning, he underwent a heart transplant operation.
I had a lot of rehab. I had to learn how to do everything again, learn how to write, learn how to sing. That was the toughest part.

His new album is called bpm, which stands for beats per minute. It is his fourth studio, but first self-penned, album. Most of the songs are in Portuguese, with some in Spanish or English
Because of my history, I thought it was interesting to call the album bpm. Your beats per minute of your heart is what gives you life and it's what gives music life, the beats per minute that the music has.
