On April 10, the day of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Odessa from fascist invaders, security measures will be increased in the city.
"More than half a thousand law enforcement officers will ensure law and order on the streets. Entrance to the memorial places in honor of the liberators of Odessa will be carried out through checkpoints," - reports the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region.
"The liberating heroes have gone down in history forever. But on this historic day, we must not forget that we are once again protecting the city and all of Ukraine from new, Russian invaders. Therefore, we urge everyone not to neglect security measures, air raid signals, and avoid gatherings near monuments and public places, be vigilant and law-abiding," Ivan Zhuk, acting head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region, urged citizens.
The police reminded them about the ban on using the symbols of the National Socialist and totalitarian regimes.
