Deputy Minister for European Integration Anna Yurchenko and the Head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine Mustafa Nayyem met with a delegation from the Republic of Slovenia. Reconstruction projects can be submitted to the Center for International Cooperation and Development of Slovenia (CMSR). Grant funds will cover up to 50% of the project cost. 'Since the start of the full-scale war, Slovenia has provided Ukraine with €4.3 million in humanitarian aid and an additional €1 million to finance the humanitarian initiative 'Grain from Ukraine.'

This is Slovenia's largest humanitarian assistance in the last decade. We are grateful to Slovenia for such significant support to Ukraine and are ready to continue cooperation,' commented Anna Yurchenko, Deputy Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine for European Integration.

The project submission process involves digitally submitting project proposals through the CMSR website, followed by project proposal evaluation, presentation to a financial expert, approval by the CMSR Council and the Slovenian Government, and the signing of a donor agreement.

During the visit to Kyiv earlier this year, the Prime Minister of Slovenia stated that his country is ready to participate in the reconstruction of Izyum in the Kharkiv region. In July, Slovenia adopted a decision to assist Ukraine with humanitarian demining, totaling €1.5 million.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia allocated €3.46 million in budgetary funds to Ukraine in 2022 for humanitarian, material assistance, and development. An additional allocation of up to €6.14 million is expected in 2023.

CMSR, responsible for project implementation, has significant experience in executing reconstruction projects in various countries worldwide. Since 2007, over 120 projects have been successfully implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.
