The Security Service has collected evidence of treason by the wife of former MP from the banned Party of Regions, Igor Markov, Inesa.
She is currently a co-owner of a Russian IT company developing software for the Russian military aviation.
In 2014, she and her husband fled to Moscow, where they are evading justice and aiding Russia's war against Ukraine. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, Markova founded the so-called "Engineering Center of Information and Analytical Systems" in Russia.
Among its co-founders is the sanctioned Russian singer Grigory Leps, who supports the war against Ukraine. On the orders of the Rostec Corporation, the traitor's company develops onboard systems for Russian combat helicopters, including the Ka-52 "Alligator" and the Mi-28N "Night Hunter."
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the company has supplied software products to Russian occupation groups for over 100 million rubles.
Based on the collected evidence, the Security Service informed Inesa Markova of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed in wartime).
Also, based on the SSU materials, the court imposed a freeze on her commercial real estate, private house, and land plot in Odessa totaling over 250 million hryvnias.
In May 2023, the Security Service informed Inesa Markova's husband, Igor Markov, of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including treason. Comprehensive measures are being taken to hold the criminal accountable for crimes against our state. The investigation was conducted by SSU officers in the Odessa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
