The Ukrainian side will share data with Beijing regarding Chinese citizens working in Russia at a drone manufacturing plant. Kyiv suspects that the Russian Federation may have stolen drone production technology by collaborating with Chinese nationals outside the knowledge of the official Chinese leadership.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a briefing.
"I asked the Security Service of Ukraine to provide broader information to the Chinese side about Chinese citizens working at a drone manufacturing plant in Russia. According to our information, it's possible that Russia stole — made arrangements with these citizens, bypassing agreements with China's leadership — these technologies. The information includes relevant Chinese technologies used in the development of these drones. I believe it will be important for Beijing to see how their partners are working with them," he said.
At the same time, the President reported that today the Foreign Intelligence Service will pass along brief information to the Chinese side regarding possible Chinese arms supplies to Russia. According to him, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs is also sending the relevant data to the embassy in Beijing through diplomatic channels.
"We will also try to deliver the appropriate information directly to Beijing through other channels," Zelensky added.
The head of state emphasized that there has been no communication at the level of state leaders. According to him, the exchange of information is taking place through embassies and diplomats.
As reported by Ukrinform, during a briefing on April 7, the President said Ukraine had received information indicating that China was supplying weapons to the Russian Federation, including gunpowder and artillery.
