As a result of Russia’s morning attack on Odessa, the body of a woman was found under the rubble, and 17 people are known to have been injured — among them a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. Law enforcement officers continue documenting the consequences of Russia’s armed aggression.
This was reported on Telegram by Odesa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper.
“Unfortunately, the body of a 60-year-old woman was found under the rubble. I extend my sincere condolences to her family and loved ones,” he wrote.
He added that 17 people were injured in the Russian morning strike, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. One person was hospitalized, while the others are receiving outpatient treatment after medical assistance.
According to Kiper, the Russians destroyed residential buildings in Odessa’s historic city center, as well as a kindergarten and an inclusive center. Emergency services are continuing to eliminate the consequences of the attack, and all authorized agencies are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are documenting yet another crime by Russian terrorists against the civilian population of the Odessa region.
Odessa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov wrote on Facebook that the Russian forces struck a densely built residential neighborhood.
“The historic center is the memory and soul of Odessa. Every creak of the floor in these buildings carries its own story, and the small courtyards have witnessed thousands of conversations. Neighbors here have known each other for decades — since childhood. Today, this area looks different. The enemy struck a densely populated residential quarter,” the post reads.
