Russia agreed to a mutual halt in strikes on energy infrastructure because it is suffering from Ukrainian attacks.

Political strategist Taras Zagorodny stated this in a YouTube channel.

According to Zagorodny, Vladimir Putin tried to achieve his desired outcome during negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump.

"All this rhetoric about not striking energy infrastructure means only one thing: the Russians are suffering greatly from these attacks. Because only in such cases do they start making 'gestures of goodwill,'" the expert added.

He emphasized that such attacks are a pressure tool for Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), using drones, is systematically damaging the aggressor state's oil refining facilities.

"Missiles have already started flying in, which is very bad news for the Russians. Something heavy has started hitting them, so they got nervous," Zagorodny clarified.
