The Central Council of Muslims in Germany has condemned anti-Semitic incidents during pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the country.

The chairman of the council, Aiman Mazyek, made this statement on Deutschlandfunk radio, as reported by Tagesspiegel.

He noted "very clear legal violations, anti-Semitic crimes based on hatred of Jews."

According to him, there are groups that use such demonstrations to chant slogans against Jews and promote anti-Semitism:

"We must not allow this."

Mazyek called on Muslims to be cautious when attending demonstrations.

At the same time, he urged not to equate all Muslims. For example, this weekend, there are also many calls for prayers for peace and initiatives with a clear message to achieve a ceasefire, provide humanitarian aid, and prevent the continuation of the war, Mazyek added.

The Central Council is one of the largest Muslim organizations in Germany.
