The Epicenter Group of Companies estimates the losses due to the loss of assets and unearned profits since 2014 from the military aggression against Ukraine at $1.02 billion, according to the company's press service.

"According to independent expert estimates, the total losses for Epicenter caused by the full-scale war amounted to $751.4 million. This amount includes both actual losses — the complete destruction, damage, or occupation of shopping centers, loss of goods, equipment, or other assets — and the lost profit resulting from these losses," said Dmitry Baidyuk, Deputy CEO of Epicenter K LLC, in the press release.

The total amount also includes losses of $267.5 million from the loss of seven retail facilities with a total area of about 163.2 thousand square meters following the occupation of Ukrainian territories in 2014, the statement notes.

The company emphasizes that the assessment was carried out with the involvement of independent experts and legal firms and may be used in future claims for compensation of damages.

"We are actively working in the legal field to recover these funds from the aggressor, but we understand that this is a very long process," said Peter Mykhailyshyn, CEO of Epicenter K.

The Epicenter Group of Companies is an omnichannel ecosystem that includes the Epicenter and Nova Linia retail networks, the online store epicentrk.ua, the agricultural holding Epicenter Agro, ceramic tile manufacturing plants Epicenter Ceramic Corporation, the wood processing company CBM Osmoloda, and logistics capacities.

Before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Epicenter network consisted of over 80 shopping centers in all regions of the country. The war destroyed seven shopping centers in Mariupol, Nikopol, Bucha, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson (two) with a total area of over 125.6 thousand square meters. Three more facilities (in Melitopol, Kramatorsk, and Kharkiv) are not operational due to occupation, shelling, or proximity to combat zones.

As of March 2025, the retailer's network includes 71 operational shopping centers in Ukraine.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the shareholders of Epicenter K LLC are Oleksandr Herheha (51.3%), Halyna Herheha (47.97%), and Tetiana Surzhik (0.73%).
