In Kyiv, 21 people were killed and another 134 injured as a result of Russia’s combined missile and drone attack on June 17.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, which reported the update on Facebook, search and rescue operations continued through the night in the Solomianskyi district. As of 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, the bodies of five more victims were recovered from the rubble of a partially destroyed nine-story residential building.
A total of 16 bodies have been retrieved at that address so far, and work is ongoing.
Overall, the attack killed 21 people and injured 134 in the capital, the State Emergency Service stated.
