On the night of June 10 (from 8:00 PM on June 9), the Russian forces launched an air attack using 322 air attack means:
- 315 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of drone imitators from the directions of Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia;
- 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh region — Russia;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles from Kursk region — Russia.
The main target of the strike was Ukraine’s capital, the city of Kyiv!
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 AM, air defense neutralized 284 air attack means: 220 were shot down by fire means, and 64 were lost due to electronic warfare:
- 213 Shahed-type drones (and other drone types) were shot down by fire means, 64 were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare;
- 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles.
Russian air attack hits were recorded in 11 locations, and wreckage from shot-down means fell in 16 locations.
