Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga announced that, starting today, an automated procedure for submitting documents for notarial actions has been implemented at all Ukrainian embassies and consulates abroad.

Since July 1, the system has been gradually introduced, allowing Ukrainians abroad to submit information and documents electronically through the MFA’s “e-Consul” information and communication system at all 120 diplomatic missions providing consular services.

Citizens can now, at their convenience:

  • Submit an online application for a notarial action;
  • Download a template of the required power of attorney or notarial statement;
  • Upload all necessary documents.

All document submission and processing procedures can now be completed without a prior physical visit to the mission. After submitting online, only a brief visit is needed to collect the finished document, saving significant time and resources.

Statistics indicate the service’s convenience: since the first two phases of diplomatic missions were connected in July and August, nearly 500 Ukrainians have already used it.

Detailed information and answers to frequently asked questions will be available on the websites of the diplomatic missions and the MFA’s Consular Service Department.

Andriy Sybiga expressed gratitude to the entire team that implemented the project, as well as international partners, including the UN Development Programme in Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, for their support in implementing this important initiative.

“Our absolute priority remains the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad. The MFA continues to reform consular services and simplify access to them as much as possible. The goal is to provide a service worthy of a modern, technological, and strong European state,” the minister emphasized.
