As of October 12th, the number of casualties in the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region, where a memorial lunch was taking place in a cafe, has increased to 56. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

"The number of casualties as a result of the strike on the village of Groza has increased to 56 people. Last night, a 53-year-old woman in the intensive care unit passed away," the statement reads.

 

 

"As of now, the number of casualties in the village of Groza due to the Russian missile strike has increased to 55 people. In the past day, two more women were identified among the casualties; previously, they were considered missing," said Chubenko.

According to Chubenko, three people are still considered missing. The identification of the bodies of the deceased continues.

"Based on the statements from relatives about missing people, the number of casualties may further increase to 58 people. Criminal investigators and forensic experts are carrying out very meticulous work to identify the deceased. For example, the body of one of the men who was at the epicenter of the explosion was torn into at least 19 parts," added the prosecution spokesperson.

On October 5, Russia shelled the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region. The Russian forces targeted a cafe where a memorial lunch was taking place. The strike involved the use of an Iskander-M missile, which caused significant devastation and loss of life.
