Four days before the completion of fundraising for the Bayraktar TB2 drone for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Poles not only raised the required amount but also exceeded the set plan.
This was announced by the initiator of the campaign, Polish journalist SÅawomir Sierakowski.
In total, more than 22 million zlotys (4.6 million euros) were collected, but given the large number of people who want to join the collection, it will remain active for a few more days. The entire collected surplus will be transferred to the account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the National Bank of Ukraine.
Bayraktars for Ukraine
- Earlier, Lithuanians raised almost â¬6 million to buy Bayraktar TB2 for Ukraine. Then the manufacturer of drones Baykar decided to give it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for free.
- The Norwegians have also opened a collection at Bayraktar for Ukraine. According to the organizers, it will take less than ten crowns from every inhabitant of Norway to close the fundraise. In total, they plan to collect 55 million crowns (about $5.5 million).
- Recall, on June 24, volunteer Serhiy Prytula said that in three days Ukrainians had collected UAH 600 million through donations to buy four Bayraktar drones. After that, Baykar announced that it would donate three Bayraktar TB2s to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for free.
