Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has proposed a plan for Europe's support of Ukraine, emphasizing security guarantees.
"We must act now to support Ukraine and boost Europe's security. No more talk shops - time for action," Nausėda stated on X.
His five-point plan includes:
- Real security guarantees for Ukraine - NATO membership must stay on the table.
- Russia must be held accountable for war crimes, and sanctions must stay until aggression stops.
- Urgent funding for weapons & €10B for Ukraine's defense industry.
- Seizure of Russia's frozen assets & imposing tariffs on Russia/Belarus imports.
- Fast-track
EU accession - target date by 2030.
Nausėda stressed that Ukraine's security is an integral part of Europe's security.
