The restoration of the Mykolaiv airport, which was destroyed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, requires €13 million.

This is stated in the Strategy for the Development of the Mykolaiv Region until 2027.

In early March 2022, fierce battles unfolded at the Mykolaiv International Airport between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian forces.

Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks, preventing them from taking control of this crucial strategic location.

However, as a result of the battle, the airport suffered devastating shelling from Russian troops and was effectively destroyed. Direct hits damaged key airport facilities, including the terminal complex, lighting and radio equipment, apron, and fire station.

Currently, the technical condition of the airport does not allow for its normal operation, and numerous areas require urgent restoration.

According to the technical report, the total cost for infrastructure restoration is approximately €13 million.
