"In the region, the development of a salt deposit has already begun, which can provide the entire Ukraine with table salt and technical salt," said President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Viktor Mykyta, the head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, in a statement on Telegram, this refers to the Tereblia salt deposit in the Tyachiv region.

"This event is of tremendous significance for the country's food security and economic development in our region. The salt deposit in Zakarpattia has the capacity to fully supply Ukraine with both technical and table salt, which will be utilized in the near future for road maintenance during winter and to meet the needs of the population," he clarified.
