The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered evidence against the head of one of the structural units of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. The official justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and the occupation of Ukraine.
The SSU has recordings of conversations in which the individual denies the sovereignty of Ukraine and suggests handing over the southern regions, including the Odessa and Kherson regions, to the Russian forces.
Additionally, in communication with a subordinate, the official glorified the Russian private military company "Wagner" mercenaries and supported their participation in the war against Ukraine.
Furthermore, the court official proposed launching a new offensive on Ukraine from the north to capture Lviv and neighboring regions.
The individual expressed hopes for the rapid occupation of the country and the subsequent establishment of a Kremlin regime on its territory.
A linguistic expertise initiated by the SSU confirmed the facts of the official's subversive activities in favor of the Russian forces.
During searches at the perpetrator's place of residence, the following items were found:
- Mobile phones and computers with evidence of criminal activities.
- Nearly 300 unregistered bullets for firearms.
- Special technical means of illegal surveillance.
- Pro-Kremlin literature.
Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service have informed the suspect about the suspicion under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed by an official).
The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The perpetrator faces up to 8 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
