AVentures Capital has prepared a report on Ukraine's tech sector, DealBook of Ukraine: 2025, covering the entire 2024 year and the beginning of 2025, which includes research on Ukraine's IT investment ecosystem. It states that investments in the tech sector are already "halfway" to the pre-war levels of 2021. This was reported by AVentures Capital on their LinkedIn account.
According to the fund, the total investment in 2024 amounted to $462 million — 120% more than in 2023, when it was $209 million.
"The tech industry is halfway to the 2021 peak, but more is ahead," commented AVentures Capital.
In 2023, the decline in IT sector investment significantly slowed to 11% compared to the previous year. In 2021, the investment volume was $832 million, in 2022 there was a sharp drop to $236 million, and in 2023 — $209 million. The fund's report also highlights the growth of defense technologies, with $59 million raised through grants and direct investments, thanks to new startups and venture funds focused on miltech.
