The Ukrainian studio ZIKZAK Architects participated in the exhibition "100 Projects x 100 Identities" in Venice, which takes place during the Venice Design Week at the Magazzino gallery in Palazzo Contarini Polignac.
The project designed by the Ukrainian studio ZIKZAK is presented as part of the ARCHIbusiness sub-exhibition dedicated to workspace design. It is an office concept developed for Cyprus.
The existing four-story building, designed in the shape of the letter "H," is accompanied by an adjacent two-story cylindrical structure that occupies a large courtyard area and is visible from the street.
Passersby, looking at the building from the road, see a striped cylinder of regular shape, but from the opposite side, they discover a different, fragmented form of the building. In addition to its creative and futuristic visual solution, the slats also serve a sun-shading function.
The photographs, projects, and visualizations transport visitors of the exhibition into a well-thought-out, functional, and aesthetically pleasing work environment. The selected projects aim to enhance creativity and raise awareness of the essential changes in the field of workspace design while also paying attention to sustainable and socially inclusive choices.
The exhibition will run until August 27th.
