Ukrainian development detects all airborne targets, including those flying at very low altitudes, and calculates possible flight trajectories for further neutralization. Historian, Yale University professor, and United24 ambassador Timothy Snyder is launching a fundraiser for the "Safe Skies" air target identification sensor system, which will enhance Ukraine's defense against Russian missiles and drones. This information is available on the crowdfunding platform's website.

To effectively protect the country, 12,500 acoustic sensors are needed. The initial goal is to acquire 2,500 sensors at a total cost of $950,000.

The Ukrainian development can detect all airborne targets, including those flying at very low altitudes, and calculate possible flight trajectories for subsequent neutralization. In addition, the system incorporates artificial intelligence that allows for the prediction of future threats.

When using the "Safe Skies" system in 11 regions of Ukraine, experts were able to accurately identify all hostile missiles and drones.

"Last year, Russia initiated massive drone attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure with the overt aim of depriving Ukrainians of access to basic life necessities. [...]

There is no doubt that Russia will again target civilian infrastructure. We need to be prepared for the winter on a national level. Together, we can create a Safe Sky over Ukraine and protect both the infrastructure and the civilian population from terrorist attacks," said Snyder.
