Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement on trade liberalization for certain types of agricultural products.

This was reported by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka on Facebook.

The agreement provides for “zero” tariffs on eggs and poultry meat until March 2028. On the UK side, the agreement was signed by Trade Minister Chris Bryant. The document will enter into force on March 31 of this year.

According to Kachka, these measures will provide “important support” for Ukrainian farmers amid the war.

The parties also discussed the development of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the UK, strengthening Ukraine’s energy sector, sharing experience in digitalization, and expanding the participation of British businesses in Ukraine’s reconstruction projects.
