On the evening of October 9, Ukrainian military forces attacked a storage base for strike drones Shahed near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in Krasnodar Krai, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported.

“According to available information, about 400 strike drones were stored there. Objective control confirmed a direct hit on the target. Secondary detonation was observed on the territory of the facility,” the Ukrainian General Staff noted.

In turn, the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Krai reported a fire in storage facilities in the settlement of Oktyabrsky but did not specify the cause of the fire. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. The area around the warehouse was cordoned off, and the fire was localized over an area of 1,600 square meters, the operational headquarters reported.

After that, in the night of October 10, Ukrainian drones attacked the suburbs of Maykop in the Republic of Adygea.

“There were no casualties or injuries. Representatives of the special services and rescuers are on site. Firefighters from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are extinguishing the fire. An organized evacuation of residents of the Rodnikovoye settlement is underway,” reported the head of the region, Murat Kumpilov.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, the military airfield Khanskaya, located 3 km east of the stanitsa Khanskaya and 6 km northwest of the city of Maykop, was hit. According to open data, the 272nd training aviation base, which is part of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School, is stationed there. The NASA fire monitoring system recorded a fire near the military airfield after the attack, Astra notes.

The day before, the AFU attacked an ammunition storage facility in the city of Karachev in the Bryansk region. This resulted in the detonation of ammunition. According to the Ukrainian side, the nearest to the front line 67th arsenal of the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (GRU) was hit. The warehouse contained ammunition, including from North Korea, as well as aerial bombs, noted the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CPD) of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalеnко.

Previously, on September 18, Ukrainian drones blew up a large ammunition and missile storage facility in Toropets, Tver region. On September 21, two more ammunition storage facilities were hit. One of them was the Tikhoretsk arsenal in Krasnodar Krai, which is among the three largest ammunition storage bases used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, according to the Ukrainian General Staff. At the same time, the 23rd arsenal of the Main Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in Tver region was also hit.
