Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra, during a meeting at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, invited Israel to consider joining the international compensation framework for Ukraine.

“I invited Israel to consider joining the international compensation framework for Ukraine. Russian aggression must have not only a political and criminal cost, but also a financial one,” Mudra wrote .

According to her, during the meeting at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Member of Parliament Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk, they discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Israeli relations as well as prospects for their development.

Mudra noted that Ukraine values Israel’s support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity, while at the same time expecting a more decisive response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilians.

She also emphasized that Ukraine has recognized the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and has strengthened criminal liability for manifestations of antisemitism, expressing hope for further alignment between the two states in international organizations, sanctions policy, and countering terrorist structures.

In addition, according to Mudra, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in defense technologies, joint development, production, and exchange of experience, as well as economic cooperation, including with Israeli Finance Minister Zeev Elkin.

According to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, trade between Ukraine and Israel has already approached $1 billion, and promising areas include investment, reconstruction, medicine, rehabilitation, agrotechnologies, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure protection.
