Ukraine can freely use the technical combat equipment provided by Canada on Russian territory.
This was reported by CBC News.
The Canadian Ministry of National Defence noted that the country has supplied Ukraine with eight Leopard 2A4 tanks, several dozen armored combat support vehicles, hundreds of armored patrol vehicles, and several M-777 howitzers.
"Ukrainians know best how to defend their homeland, and we're committed to supporting their capacity," stated Canadian Ministry of Defence spokesperson Andrée-Anne Poulin.
"Canada places no geographic restrictions on the use of military equipment that we donate to Ukraine," she added.
However, it is unknown whether Canadian weapons were in the hands of Ukrainian brigades when they began their operation to break through in the Kursk region.
Andrée-Anne Poulin emphasized that Canadian aid always complies with the requirements of the Arms Trade Treaty—an international agreement aimed at reducing illegal arms supplies and human rights violations.
