A new agreement with ICEYE will provide Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense with expanded access to high-resolution SAR imagery from ICEYE, which in turn will support faster and more informed tactical decision-making in national security. According to ICEYE, the agreement significantly broadens cooperation in the field of space-based intelligence.
The deal also ensures that the Ministry of Defense will continue receiving a large volume of high-resolution satellite images through the ICEYE SAR constellation.
John Cartwright, Senior VP of Data Product at ICEYE, stated:

Today’s operational environment makes one thing clear: space is no longer only a strategic domain, it is a tactical layer of defense. That requires space-based intelligence that can be acted on in near real time, day or night, in any weather.”
ICEYE technology can capture high-resolution imagery up to 16 cm from its 4th-generation satellites and utilize wide-area modes such as Scan Wide, which covers areas of 200 by 300 km.
Additionally, ICEYE’s electronic beam steering technology allows the capture of dozens of high-resolution scenes within just a few minutes of satellite imaging time.
