The State Property Fund plans to privatize the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant, which was previously owned by the sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
This was announced by the State Property Fund.
According to the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), 100% of Mykolaiv Alumina Plant’s corporate rights, previously controlled by Deripaska, have been transferred to the state. Additionally, over 150 buildings and more than 200 units of transport, among other assets, were seized.
Currently, the State Property Fund is registering this property to increase the charter capital of Mykolaiv Alumina Plant. After this process is completed, discussions about starting the large-scale privatization of the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant can begin.
The State Property Fund assured that Mykolaiv Alumina Plant will definitely be put up for privatization.
In February 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court ruled to transfer the enterprise to the state under sanctions against Deripaska. Since March 20, 2024, the sole founder of the enterprise has been the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
Previously, the corporate rights of the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant were held by the companies Aluminum Ukraine (13.96%) and “Guardon Ukraine” (86.04%). These entities have now been removed from the list of founders, as their assets have also been nationalized and transferred to the State Property Fund.
