Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitaliy Koval, held another working meeting with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) team, led by WFP Director in Ukraine, Richard Reagan.

They discussed key areas of cooperation, including the implementation of the President of Ukraine’s initiative “Grain from Ukraine,” which since 2022 has provided food to over 11 million people in 18 countries across Africa and Asia. The Minister noted that they are currently working on the updated delivery schedule for 2025, with Ukraine remaining a reliable food supplier for those most in need.

“The focus of the conversation was preparation for the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025). Together with Richard Reagan, we coordinated positions on further involving the WFP in restoring food systems in the affected regions of Ukraine. Special attention was given to strengthening our cooperation within the framework of the new WFP Interim Strategic Plan for Ukraine for 2025–2027. Our goal is to use international support even more effectively and integrate Ukrainian farmers into global humanitarian supply chains,” Vitaliy Koval said.

The Minister also thanked the WFP team for their ongoing assistance to Ukraine.
