Ukraine will present Russian crimes against Ukrainian children at the UN Security Council.

This was reported by Darija Zarivna, the Operations Director of Bring Kids Back UA.

"Natanael Raymond, Executive Director of the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab and member of the Bring Kids Back UA International Expert Group, will provide a detailed report on the Humanitarian Research Lab's (HRL) findings at Yale University's School of Public Health, regarding the newly discovered state program of forced adoption of Ukrainian children in Russia. These crimes had not been documented before. Our Bring Kids Back UA team will demonstrate the scale of other crimes committed by Russia against Ukrainian children," said Zarivna.

According to her, this report is evidence of serious violations of international law, humanitarian principles, and children's rights. It details crimes that had not been documented on such a scale before.

"The researchers provide facts that expose the lies of the Russians about their desire to return children to Ukraine. The adoption policy is not temporary. Ukrainian children in Russian families are deprived of the opportunity to learn the truth about their origins, and contact with their real relatives is completely prohibited. The facts presented in the report, along with other crimes against children, will be discussed at the UN Security Council meeting scheduled for December 4, 2024," Zarivna emphasized.

It is worth noting that today, a new report from the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab (Yale HRL) entitled "Russia's Systematic Program of Forced Adoption and Guardianship of Ukrainian Children" provides evidence of Russia's systematic policy of adopting and placing guardianship over children deported from Ukraine.

According to the report, after this, the aggressor country places children in institutional facilities on its territory, registers them in at least three federal adoption databases, and places them in Russian families.

Bring Kids Back UA is an initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky, uniting the efforts of the Ukrainian government, civil society, partner countries, and international organizations to search for, return, and reintegrate Ukrainian children deported or forcibly displaced to Russia and temporarily occupied territories.
