According to the results for the first 11 months of 2024, Ukraine's trade turnover reached $101.9 billion. Specifically, from January to November, the country imported goods worth $63.6 billion and exported goods worth $38.3 billion, reports the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

The largest volume of imports to Ukraine came from China ($13 billion), Poland ($6.3 billion), and Germany ($4.8 billion).

Meanwhile, the largest amount of Ukrainian exports was to Poland ($4.4 billion), Spain ($2.7 billion), and Germany ($2.7 billion).

Of the total goods imported between January and November 2024, 65% fell into the following categories:

  • Machinery, equipment, and transport – $22.2 billion
  • Chemical industry products – $10.7 billion
  • Fuel and energy products – $8.2 billion

The total taxable import value was $52.1 billion, representing 82% of the total imported goods. The tax burden per kilogram of taxable imports in January–November 2024 was $0.51/kg, which is 4% higher than the same period in 2023, the Customs Service clarified.

The three most exported goods from Ukraine were:

  • Food products – $22.6 billion
  • Metals and their products – $4.1 billion
  • Machinery, equipment, and transport – $3.2 billion

During the 11 months of 2024, export goods subject to export duties contributed 270.3 million UAH to the budget upon customs clearance. It is worth noting that Ukraine's trade turnover was $99.4 billion in 2023, with imported goods totaling $63.5 billion and exports totaling $36 billion.
