Ukrainian Intelligence exposes new group of pro-Kremlin propagandists backing war and territorial seizures

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council have published information on another group of bloggers, TV hosts, and singers who have supported the war and the seizure of Ukrainian territories.

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported this on Facebook.

The information appears in the “Kremlin Mouthpieces” section of the War&Sanctions portal.

Russian propaganda justifies aggression and war crimes, uses dehumanization and hatred toward Ukraine as fuel for the war, seeks to legitimize the seizure of Ukrainian territories, and aims to undermine international support for Ukraine. The Center for Countering Disinformation and Intelligence Agency are conducting systematic joint work to counter these efforts and expose Russia’s agents of influence.

Among those listed:

  • A pro-Russian Latvian blogger and host of an author program on the “Solovyov LIVE” channel, Kyrylo Fedorov, who was arrested in Riga in 2022 for supporting Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and charged with incitement of ethnic hatred; he was later released on bail and fled to Russia.
  • Russian TV host Yuriy Kot, who in 2013–2014 was a presenter for the “anti-Maidan” movement, later moved to Russia, publicly supported Russian militants in Donbas and the full-scale invasion, and actively spreads Russian propaganda narratives.
  • Former Ukrainian People’s Artist Taisia Povaliy, who has held Russian citizenship since 2023 and has repeatedly taken part in Russian propaganda events in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

Intelligence agency emphasized that the voices of Russian propaganda must be blocked in the civilized world. Anyone who supports war, violence, and occupation should face appropriate sanctions — entry bans, asset freezes, and other restrictive measures.
