The corresponding working meeting, involving representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and military units, took place for the first time with the organization of the NATO Committee of Chiefs of Military Medical Services and the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
Over 100 participants from 17 NATO ally and partner countries gathered to review and analyze observations related to medical support and medical care in current and past conflict situations and wars. Representatives of partner countries provided valuable information and participated in all discussions, emphasizing the relevance of the recent conflict experience.
Ukraine's experience was at the center of all discussions, from providing assistance to the wounded to logistical support, evacuation, and rehabilitation in conditions of active use of various types of UAVs.
The results of the working meeting will directly influence NATO's medical doctrine and training paradigms to enhance readiness, resilience, and collective defense. They will also be integrated into NATO's operational standards and educational frameworks, strengthening the Alliance's medical response capabilities.
