Ukrnafta has begun drilling a new exploratory well in western Ukraine. Its projected depth is 2,754 meters.
This was announced by the company's head, Serhiy Koretskyi, on Facebook.
"It is planned that the new well will penetrate the productive layers of Menilite deposits. The initial expected output is projected to be 16 tons per day," he noted.
Koretskyi added that the work is being carried out with the company's own rig by the structural unit Ukrnafta Drilling.
It was previously reported that Ukrnafta is starting work on two oil wells, which together will produce over 100 tons of oil per day. Each of these wells will be 4.5 kilometers deep.
