The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out multiple strikes on Russian forces’ positions at the “Vostochnyi” training ground in Novopetrivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
This was reported by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert 'Madyar' Brovdi.
According to him, on the night of June 12, the 'Birds' of the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out multiple strikes in the operational depth on temporary deployment sites of Russian personnel at the Vostochnyi training ground in Novopetrivka, where three Russian units were undergoing training.
These included:
- The 40th Kamchatka Marine Brigade, which reportedly participated in prolonged assaults near Vuhledar
- The 1461st Regiment of the 36th Army (Buryat unit)
- The 1466th Regiment of the 5th Army, composed of recruits from Russia’s Primorsky region
All of these units are operating on the Huliaipole direction against Ukraine.
Brovdi also noted that additional targets struck during the night included a Tor-M2 air defense system in Vershyna Druha (Zaporizhzhia region), a ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun and MANPADS crew in Novopetrivka, and a UAV command post in Novoandriivka (Donetsk region).
