Volodymyr Zelensky: Ukraine is ready to export sea drones and certain artillery systems

Ukraine is willing to export sea drones and certain artillery systems.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this while speaking to journalists.

“We are ready to work on sea drones. We have more of them than we use; our Naval Forces use them as do the SSU, the SSO, and the HUR. There are definitely about twice as many as we deploy. We also have, in my view, other weapons — including artillery systems, although those are not produced in large numbers,” the President said.

He added, however, that Ukraine cannot allow export of all weapons produced domestically.

“In the meantime our industry is producing a lot — that requires budgets,” he said.

As President’s adviser Oleksandr Kamyshyn noted at the briefing, this concerns types of armament for which the country’s production capacity exceeds the procurement needs of the Security and Defense Forces — and also items “that are critically needed by our partners, for which they are ready to share other scarce supplies with us.”

Zelensky also said there are plans to produce one type of weapon together with partners, financed 100% by them. According to the President, half of the production will go to the partners and half will remain in Ukraine. He added that, during the war, partners are ready to lend Ukraine their share of the produced weapons.
