Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska defeated Argentina's Nadia Podoroska in the first round of the Wimbledon tournament.

Yastremska took the initiative from the outset. With an early break, she quickly pulled ahead in the score (3:0). Yastremska won three more games in a row and closed the set in just 25 minutes.
The key to Yastremska's victory in the match was her performance on her first serve (82% points won). Additionally, she hit 2 aces and made fewer unforced errors.
The second set followed a similar script. Yastremska led 3:0 with two breaks, but lost a game on her own serve to Podoroska in the fourth game.
It went to a tiebreak, where Yastremska showed no mercy to the Argentine player, winning confidently (7:1).
In the next round, the Ukrainian representative will face Russia's Varvara Gracheva, who now competes under the French flag. In the first round, Gracheva defeated another Ukrainian, Lesia Tsurenko (6:3, 6:1). The date and time of their match will be determined later.
